Ireland to face USA Rugby at Aviva Stadium on July 10th in the second of two home summer test matches in 2021. The match will be broadcast live on RTÉ.
Ireland will play two Tests against Japan and the USA at the Aviva Stadium in July.
Andy Farrell had been due to bring his squad on a tour of Fiji in July but that plan was scrapped in April due to the Covid-19 situation on the island nation.
Ireland will instead welcome Japan to Dublin on Saturday 3 July, a week after the Brave Blossoms face the Lions.
Ireland last faced Japan at the Rugby World Cup in 2019 with Jamie Joseph’s side coming out as deserved 19-12 winners at the Ecopa Stadium in Shizuoka.
The United States come to town on 10 July. They last appeared at the Aviva in November 2018 when Ireland ran out 57-14 winners.
“We now have two games at home to focus on which will be great for the group,” said Farrell.
“There have been some strong individual performances in the Rainbow Cup over the past couple of weeks and there are plenty of opportunities for players to put themselves in the frame for selection for the international window in July.”
